Recap of Ed Sias races today

Congratulations to our cross-country runners who ran the Ed Sias races today! There were 2200 runners (400 more than last year) and close to 40 high schools competing. The competition was tough but Miramonte took to the challenge and had some great races! Check out the results on the file list for the full results per division.

Even with a few divisions that did not have enough runners to score points (top 5 runners per team score points), Miramonte came away with three top 10 team awards—two 5th places (Varsity Boys and Frosh/Soph Girls) and a 10th place for Frosh/Soph Boys.

Below is a recap of the top 3 Miramonte runners in each division:

Boys——————————————————

—Frosh boys: led by an outstanding run from Mile McCaulou, coming in #21 overall with a 12:53, followed by Asher Kalman with a 13:40 (#50) and Jackson Doyle at 14:13 (#83).

—Frosh/Soph boys: led by Charlie Zamanian (Fr) and #32 overall, with a 12:12, followed by Cameron Hoyh (So) at 12:32 (#57) and Mark Tamminga (So) at 12:49 (#70).

—Frosh/Soph/JV Unlimited boys: led by Ryan Buchanan (Jr) with a 13:19, coming in #26 overall, followed by a tight race between David Boucher (Jr) with a 13:40 (#43 overall) and David Allen (So) with a 13:42 (#44 overall).

—JV Boys: led by a new senior to cross-country, Ashraf Mathkour, with a speedy time of 11:36, placing him 5th overall; Johnleigh Dean, another Sr., came in #18 overall with a 12:10, and Luke Sanchez (Sr) came in #55 with a 12:37.

—Varsity Boys: led by Jamie Fehrnstrom (Jr) with a time of 10:55 and 15th overall, followed by Matt Stewart (Jr) with a 11:03 and #22 overall and Adam Roeder (Jr), #27 overall with a time of 11:17.

Girls————————————————-

—Frosh/Soph Girls: led by Sierra Ryder (Fr) with a time of 14:27 and 14th overall, followed by a close race between Annie Larsen (Fr) at 14:45 (#22 overall) and Meg Swinton (Fr) at 14:53 (#23 overall).

—FS/JV Unlimited Girls: led by Olivia Madsen (Fr) with a time of 17:35 and #41 overall, followed by Hanna Abruzzo with 17:58 and 61st overall, then Rachael Purcell with an 18:51 and #80 overall.

—JV Girls: led by Mollie Larsen (So) with a 15:19 and 18th overall, followed by Izzy Lee (So) with a 16:10 (#51 overall), then Catrin Farr (So), 17:49 (#116 overall).

—Varsity Girls: led by Lauren Henderson (Sr) with a 14:27 and 39th overall, followed by Savannah Ryder (Jr) with a 14:53 and 59th overall, then Hannah Swernoff, 16:34 and 103th overall.
