Hopefully you have all had a chance to check out the results from our first center meet at Shadow Cliffs. We will be back there on Wed., 10/30 and then on 11/9 for our league championships. Frosh/Soph and JV run 1.9 miles and Varsity run 2.9 miles.

The next meet will be on Saturday, 10/5 at Half Moon Bay high school. Only those who are not going to Clovis are entered in this meet.

We almost made it through the races without the rain; however our last race of the day, the Frosh/Soph Unlimited boys, got the rain. Despite the weather, we had a great day!

The top Miramonte girls team was our Frosh/Soph Girls, placing 7th out of 18 teams (and with 67 more girls in the race than at Ed Sias last week), led by freshman Kathryn Silveira. Our top boy’s team for this invitational went to the JV Boys Limited, who placed 3rd out of 18 teams, led by junior, Stephen Nicholson. The next race is our first DFAL league meet on Wednesday, September 25th at Shadow Cliffs Park in Pleasanton. Early dismissal will be at 1:30pm, with buses departing at 1:45pm. Estimated return back to Miramonte is around 7pm.

We had a great showing at the Ed Sias Invitational this past Saturday! Below is a recap of our top 3 in each race along with the team placement. The next race will be a split between Varsity and Frosh-Soph/JV. A more detailed email will be sent out to, however please note that the Varsity will be attending the Farmer’s Invitational at Hayward High School (it will be run on the NCS course) and the Frosh-Soph and JV will be attending the Nike Invitational at Newhall Park in Concord.

Here are the final entries for the Ed Sias Invitational at Hidden Lakes Park in Martinez on Saturday, 9/14 (this Saturday!). We had some changes in our limited divisions, so please check your name and know when your race starts. Plan to arrive 1.5 hours before your race start, except for our Frosh boys, who need to arrive no later than 8am. Singlets and shorts will be distributed Friday at practice. Additional team gear is still being processed. Also, team shirts will be handed out to those who did not receive one last week.

Team,
The week of 9/9 will be an exciting one, with our first Invitational on Saturday, 9/14 at the Hidden Valley Park. Start times and divisions will be discussed at practice on Monday and will then be posted to Team Pages. There are no buses for this event, so please try to carpool where possible. We will discuss this with the kids at practice as well.

For those who did not receive a team shirt on Friday, we will have another distribution next week. We also hope to have the singlets and shorts to you by Friday, with the remaining gear by photo day on 9/24 (hopefully earlier).

We had an incredible scrimmage vs Campo on Friday (9/6)! Even with the 96 degree weather, the team not only looked amazing in their new team shirts, but the cheering and team bonding was fantastic!!! Our novice girls and boys had their first high school race experience with freshman Hannah Fishlow winning the Novice girls race and freshman John Berg winning the Novice boys race! Unfortunately, times were not made available, however thanks to Gabe Sloan, he was able to capture most of our runners times, as listed below and attached in the documents section of Team Pages:
