XC Parent Update

Posted by Julie Fehrnstrom at Sep 27, 2011 2:19PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Parents,

We have several upcoming XC events where we could really use your help:

Center Meets
Our XC team has two league meets scheduled for Wednesday, October 5 and Wednesday, October 26 at 3:30 pm and the DFAL Championship meet on Sat. Nov. 5. We need to provide eight parent volunteers (12 for the championship) to man the course for each of these meets. Please sign up to help today by clicking on the Volunteer Sign-up Link on the left side of our teampages home page. We greatly appreciate your help!

Car Wash
Our team is planning a carwash fundraiser at Orinda Motors on Saturday, Oct. 29. Kathy Christensen has generously offered to spearhead this event, but she could really use the assistance of two or three more parents to help to oversee the event. If you are available to help, please sign up on teampages, or contact me (sonomajulie@gmail.com) or Kathy (randkchristensen@comcast.net) directly.

Spirit Donations
A huge thank you to all those families who have already made spirit donations to our team. We really appreciate and count on the donations to meet our team’s expenses during the season. If you have not yet made your team spirit donation, we would greatly appreciate your doing so soon. The requested amount is $100 per athlete. Payments can be made on the webstore. Thanks very much.

GO MATS!!!

Lowell race times

Posted by Alison Zamanian at Sep 16, 2011 7:26AM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Team,
We just received the race times for Saturday, 9/17 at Golden Gate Park (Lowell High School is the host). See attached spreadsheet that includes the Lowell roster, schedule and race times.

We have room for 15 more people to take the bus if needed. There is only one bus, and it will leave the Miramonte bus circle at 6:30am, so please be there around 6:20am to get on the bus.

Don’t forget the essentials: running shorts (no PE shorts), singlet if you have one (if not, a Miramonte shirt is ok), running shoes, water bottle, snacks.

Brad and I will be taking the bus. And, remember, if you take the bus, you have to come back on the bus. Our last race is at 2:30pm. Estimated time back to Miramonte is around 4pm.

Go Mats!
