Runners and parents,
The MATS socks are in! I will be selling them at the meet today for $6/each (see Photo Album for what they look like). I have men’s and women’s sizes. See you at 11:30am today.

Dinner thank you and 11:30am arrival tomorrow
First, thank you to the parents for a fantastic dinner tonight! The food was superb and our runners ate very well.
Second, all runners should arrive no later than 11:30am to Hidden Valley Park in Martinez. We are going to warm-up as a team, then those in the later races can cheer for those in the earlier races.
Get a good night sleep, eat a healthy breakfast and come out ready to cheer and race tomorrow!

We are coming to a close of our season with the DFAL championships this Saturday, 11/6 at Hidden Valley Park in Martinez. See the Word document that I uploaded in Team Documents that lists the divisions.
We still need parent help at the finish/chute. Contact Lana Sommerville if you can help between 1-3:30pm. Thank you!
The first race starts at 1pm in the following order:
1:00pm Frosh Soph Girls
1:30pm Frosh Soph Boys
2:00pm Junior Varsity Girls
2:30pm Junior Varsity Boys
3:00pm Varsity Girls
3:30pm Varsity Boys
4:00pm Awards Ceremony
Be there no later than 11:30 so that we can warm-up as a team and cheer for all of the races. We will NOT have buses for this race, so please plan accordingly and carpool if possible.

The DFAL Championships will be on Saturday, November 6th, 1:00pm at Hidden Valley Park in Martinez. We will need 12 parent volunteers to work the finish/chute. You don’t need any previous experience! Please let me know if you are interested in volunteering. Your help would really be appreciated. It’s fun seeing the kids come into the finish.

Hello Everyone,
The Cross Country Team is having a Bake Sale this Friday, October 29th at the Safeway in Orinda. We will have tables at both entrances and I will need 2 adults to help set-up. The Bake Sale will start at 4:30pm. I know this is short notice, but this fundraiser is in place of the rained-out car wash we had to cancel last Saturday.
WE NEED YOUR HELP! Please let me know what tasty treats you can donate to this bake sale. We are going to charge $1 for everything. Please wrap items (except cupcakes) in individual servings. Here are some ideas:
Cupcakes
Brownies
Rice Krispy Treats
Caramel Apples
Lemon Bars
Cookies
Whole Pies (we’ll sell the pie as a whole, price TBD)
Anything else you think of that kids and adults would like to buy!
Please email me back ASAP and let me know goodies and quantity you will donate.
The team will be running from Miramonte to the Bake Sale – this will be their workout. There will be kids staying to sell and then kids have 2 options – get picked up at the Safeway parking lot or run/walk back to Miramonte with Coach Fernbacher. Please coordinate this with your runner.
