There were 3 scholar athletes who were not announced at the awards ceremony last Tuesday. Mrs. Griffin now has your certificates completed in the office for you to pick up after school.

Congratulations to John Sommerville, Alyssa Trumble and Heidi Maupin for their achievement in becoming a scholar athlete!

Thank you for a great season. It was nice to see many of you at the awards ceremony. Thank you for the nice card and gift.
We greatly appreciate the work by team parent Lana Sommerville, our Team Dinner coordinator Becki Larsen and the fantastic slide show that our own Izzie Lee put together for the awards ceremony—thank you! To all parents, thank you for your assistance with the cross country season, as well as getting your runners to and from meets and practices.

It was a perfect running day for the 23rd annual State Cross Country Championships in Fresno, where Sophomore Tyler Hanson placed 59th with a time of 16:16 on the challenging 5k course. This course is not new to Tyler. He ran this course as a freshman, where he was 163rd with a time of 17:34. He also ran this course on 10/9 with a time of 17:22. Not only did Tyler run one minute and 6 seconds faster at State than he did at the Clovis Invitational on 10/9, he ran a faster pace than he did at the North Coast Section Meet of Champions on 11/6, at a 5:15 per mile pace vs the 5:17 per mile pace that he held at NCS. Well done Tyler! Thank you to the support crew that came down to Clovis to support Tyler, as well as his parents and sister. It was a great day in the sport of cross country.
